A sturdy metal cage with small rectangular openings surrounds an internal nut feeder, which allows smaller birds to get in but keeps larger birds and squirrels out. The feeder can be fully dismantled and thoroughly cleaned simply by unscrewing the base, taking out the inner feeder tube and removing the perches to keep the feeder safe and hygienic for little birds. The nut feeder hangs easily and securely from branches with a thick metal hook atop the feeder.
